Announcing The Syllabus Project

As part of our commitment to build a stronger, more cohesive Level Ground community, we’re launching The Syllabus – a new collective learning project open to all Level Ground members.

Here’s how it works

Every quarter, Level Ground will partner with special guests to curate a themed media syllabus of podcasts, articles, films, books, music, etc. The project will culminate in a roundtable discussion exclusively for the Level Ground community.

The Syllabus is a *reading optional or *choose your own adventure project – meaning no one is expected to engage every resource on the syllabus. Instead, the idea is that when we come together for the roundtable everyone brings their unique insights and reflections on the particular resource(s) they engaged with. Our hope is to encourage and create the conditions for collective and collaborative learning.

How to participate

The Syllabus project and roundtable discussion are available only for Level Ground Members. Become a member today for as little as $5/month and gain access to this (and other) community perks.

*If you’re already a member and haven’t received access to The Syllabus yet, please contact Samantha

About the 1st Syllabus

The first syllabus is curated by Turay Pastel (he/him; femme) and Lauren Couch (he/she/they) around the theme: Black Dreams, Futures & Mutual Aid. This is also the curatorial theme for SKEW Magazine and this syllabus is intended to deepen and expand what you’ll experience through this year’s publication.

This Kamasi Washington music video is one of 16 resources included on the first Syllabus. Become a member today to gain access to the rest of the syllabus and join the roundtable discussion on Nov 15.

The roundtable discussion for the first Syllabus project will take place on November 15 from 3-4:30pm PST. Become a Level Ground member today to access the Syllabus and roundtable discussion!
