Social Practice Labs

SCROLL TO LEARN

Our Social Practice Labs (SPL) are artist-led humanities seminars and workshops inspired by revolutionary texts where we study and practice frameworks of collective liberation and abolition.

Each year, the lab is documented in an annual group publication and/or exhibition.

The 2025 labs will focus on Octavia E. Butler's Parable of the Sower. The 2026 labs will focus on Robin D.G. Kelley's Freedom Dreams.

In 2024, we expanded the warm response to our Syllabus Project and combined it with the publication expertise we gained through SKEW Magazine to create our Social Practice Labs.
