High Beams #3: Laser Snake
When the Level Ground Collective was invited to participate in High Beams #3: Laser Snake, Collective artists Chance Calloway and Coffee Kang curated work by Chiho Harazaki, Marina Heintze, and Centrifuge Arts.
Curator Statement: With two glow-in-the-dark works, Buddha and The Glow Up, we capitalize on the raw, unroofed setting to project brightness into the surrounding night and imagine a time of rebirth. The final work, Redux, uses real-time tracking and predicting technology to create a bright shadow of visitors’ next movement, posing a question to us: do we break or maintain the cycle of human nature?
