Level Ground Productions
Level Ground Productions is a collaboratively run production company invested in projects that push the boundaries of form and address urgent socio-political issues. It was founded in 2021 as part of Level Ground’s current strategic plan and is run by longtime friends and collaborators Samantha Curley and Chase Joynt.
Framing Agnes, the first project from Level Ground Productions, premiered at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival where it won both the NEXT Innovator Award and Audience Award. It’s currently available to rent here.
The production company exists, in part, to support the Level Ground 501(c)3 nonprofit. Every year, Level Ground Productions shares 20% of its profits with the nonprofit with the ultimate goal of providing sustainable funding and opportunities for emerging artists and their experiments. Though connected by a shared mission and vision, the nonprofit and the production company operate as two distinct legal and financial entities.
