Decolonizing Wellness Resources & Mutual Support

The images we’ve seen of white supremacist violence raging in Washington, D.C. and across the nation these past few days are painful, triggering, and scary. It’s been a difficult week, and it arrived right on the heels of an already unthinkable year. If you’re feeling tired, angry, or overwhelmed, know that you are not alone.

RESOURCE LIST (see buttons below)
We know that finding supportive resources and practicing self-advocacy can be a challenging set of tasks, and that’s even more true when you’re already feeling drained. If you are in need of some emotional support and unsure of where to find it, we have put together a brief list of resources, available below, that offer solace, rest, and rejuvenation.

MUTUAL AID NETWORK
In addition, Level Ground has recently formed a Mutual Aid network. If there is anything you need, from financial support to getting art supplies to help contacting mental health professionals, please message us on Instagram, or email us, and we will do our very best to meet your need.

CASH GIFTS FOR BIPOC ARTISTS
Finally, if you are a BIPOC artist (or you know someone who is) and could benefit from a little extra cash to buy a fancy coffee drink, or some other self-care treat, send us a DM on Instagram with your Venmo handle or PayPal link, and we’ll send you money the same day!

What we do only matters in as much as we are doing it with and for each other. Let’s do what we can to love ourselves and each other well.

From Harriet’s Apothecary:

It’s been a horrible week. We’ve taken both today and yesterday as rest days. We might take tomorrow as well... We are all sore and sick, in mourning and exhausted—yet triumphant. Odd to be triumphant. I think it’s because most of us are still alive. We are a harvest of survivors. But then, that’s what we’ve always been.
